How many times have you said
"I've always wanted to learn the piano"?
...It's never too late to learn
Whether for fun or for exams, learning the piano is hugely rewarding and a skill that will stay with you a lifetime
Learning music theory is one of the most important things a musician can do to have a better understanding of the music they are playing and hearing
Music is fun and at the same time has enormous benefits:
- Improves academic & social skills
- Builds self-discipline and patience
- Boosts self-esteem
Everyone learns in different ways and I adapt my teaching style to fit the pupil with a personal approach
I weave music theory into the natural course of a lesson so that the language of music becomes intrinsic
There is a world of musical repertoire to discover from Classical to Jazz, World Music to Opera, Bollywood to Hollywood... You're more likely to practice if you enjoy the music!
"Chris has taught all 3 of my sons over the past 12 years and I unreservedly recommend him. He is a calm, kind and patient teacher who has always brought out the best in their musical ability. I cannot imagine a better or nicer teacher and I’m so happy he’s a part of my boys’ lives."
Over the last 15 years, Chris has taught my 3 sons to play the piano. He has a warm and friendly approach to his students and clearly enjoys interacting with younger age groups and teenagers alike. He is flexible in his approach, quick to grasp the musical interests of individual students and so, maintains a level of engagement from them. His fun, dynamic and encouraging style has been a winner in our house.
"My children love their lessons with Christopher. He inspires them, nurtures their natural love of music and encourages them to progress"
